I am somebody
I may not look like everybody
But I am somebody
I feel like I am somebody
I look like I am somebody
I act like I am somebody
Everybody is somebody to somebody
Nobody but nobody can make me feel like a nobody
If you want to love somebody then love me
If you want to help somebody then help me
I am somebody
And don’t you ever forget it
If you’ve been following my post, you know that every day I pull from my treasure chest and today I pulled this short poem out by an unknown author. I swear this is how God will set you up. It just so happens that today is Word Up Wednesdays and this is the good word I received to share with you. You are somebody!
“I almost didn’t write this post!”
I almost didn’t write this post. It’s funny how we can talk ourselves out of doing things that make us feel good because sometimes we are too busy concentrating on the things that make us feel bad or less than. Well, let me tell you right now, stop counting followers, likes, or subscribers and just do the good things that your spirit is telling you to do.
There must be such a thing as bad success.. think about it...
Joshua 1:8 says - This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
On top of this poem, I found a brochure for an organization called RSVP. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is a federally funded program that engages people 55 and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and to provide a high-quality experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers.
This organization is built on the belief that people never stop learning. No matter what your age is...life continues to be a learning experience. I’m not sure where I picked this information up either, but it’s good to know that there are programs out there like this one that looks out for seniors.
If you’re a senior or looking for ways that you can help serve the senior community, check out RSVP and other organizations like Meals on Wheels in your area.
As always, be prosperous, Love Noel
